OUR VISION
A world where no child or family grieves alone and where all have access to proven grief support and the tools to allow them, their children, and their children’s children to effectively manage feelings of isolation, depletion, and withdrawal to live joyful, social, and productive lives.
YOU MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Your donation supports our “Helping Hearts Heal” program, which transforms a child’s life from sadness, isolation and grief into one of happiness, resilience and hope.
Adam’s House to provides no-cost, grief education and peer support to bereaved children, teens and their families in Connecticut. Our goal is to empower young people to cope with the loss of a loved one so they may live their lives to the fullest. We are passionately dedicated to being a partner in the healing process, transforming a traumatic and isolating experience into one marked by hope, support, and forward movement.
Testimonials
“Meeting other families that were going through the same situation made us feel we were not alone and how everyone was so supportive of one another. We felt like we gained a whole new family.”

Talks about the “Helping Hearts Heal” program
“Adam’s House has been an absolute God send to us as we deal with our grief. It is like a refugee camp for those of us whose lives have been shattered by a loved one’s death. They offer comfort, hope, resources and connection.”
“The activities for the kids were amazing. My children have a vocabulary and a positive way to communicate after the program. I don’t know how I would help my children without Adam’s house program. Thank you so much!!!”
“I started drinking, because the pain was so bad I thought I was in a horrible nightmare that I could not wake up from. Adam house helped me stop drinking, realizing drinking is another add-on problem making the situation worst.”
“I was taught to put on my oxygen mask so I can help my son. We were so numb before but now enjoy mountain biking again (we use d to do it as a family), we can talk about our loved one and laugh about the good times we had.”
